Some weeks ago, I had to write an IP filter which would work with both IPv4=
 and IPv6 addresses. I needed to register some IP addresses and IP ranges i=
n CIDR format, then to check if a given IP matches one of those. I would ha=
ve needed these methods to work with IPv6:

- SubnetUtils(String cidrNotation)
- SubnetUtils.SubnetInfo#isInRange(String address)

Instead, I used the IpAddressMatcher from Spring Security (http://static.sp=
ringsource.org/spring-security/site/docs/3.1.x/apidocs/org/springframework/=
security/web/util/IpAddressMatcher.html).
