Why didn't you say so? I did not know that you have access.
Fine but what bothers me is that the default output of make does not correspond to the real default. Plus I would rather add ia64n and ia64w in the config.sub and have two more cases in appsupport.m4 rather than abbusing x86 which has really nothing to do with Itanium. No more, no less.
