I think Christian has a point here. The bracketing step is superfluous. I'll propose a new
impl getting rid of it, so that you can decide whether or not to restore it.

However, we cannot forbit getDomainLowerBound() and getDomainUpperBound() to return {{Double.POSITIVE_INFINITY}}
(for {{p == 1}}) or {{Double.NEGATIVE_INFINITY}} (for {{p == 0}}). I will prepare something
along these lines.
