Subject [jira] [Updated] (COMPRESS-154) GzipCompressorInputStream doesn't support concatenated .gz files
Date Sat, 20 Aug 2011 11:02:27 GMT

Lasse Collin updated COMPRESS-154:

I attached a new version of GzipCompressorInputStream. It is a reimplementation of the .gz
container decoding and supports concatenated .gz files. Like GZIPInputStream, this uses
for the actual decompression.

There is a new constructor that allows getting the old behavior where decompressor stops after
the first .gz member.

> The .gz format allows concatenating multiple .gz files as is. A decompressor should decompress
the resulting multimember file as if it were a single .gz file.
> GzipCompressorInputStream is a wrapper for which doesn't
support concatenated .gz files. Only the first .gz member is decompressed and the rest of
the compressed data is silently ignored.
