Subject [jira] [Commented] (LANG-454) Add getCharArray() to CharRange

Henri Yandell commented on LANG-454:
------------------------------------

CharRange is going to go away after all for 3.0. CharSet is going to use Range. The notion
of walking a range is very specific to comparables that can infer their next element. I'm
thinking some kind of EnumerableRangeIterator [okay, so Enumerable is taken as a name]. That
way we could support walking 0-55 but not try to support 1.0-7.5.

> org.apache.commons.lang.CharRange would be a lot more useful if it had a means to obtain
the characters in the range as a char array.
> i.e.
> new CharRange('a',''d').toCharArray() == new char[] { 'a', 'b', 'c', 'd' }
