Subject [jira] Commented: (CONFIGURATION-430) Name of the distribution jar
Date Sat, 05 Feb 2011 17:02:30 GMT

Oliver Heger commented on CONFIGURATION-430:
--------------------------------------------

Thanks for the report - and sorry for the slow response.

Normally this problem should be fixed automatically with the next release. The release is
done via Maven, and the parent pom used by all commons components should ensure that the artifact
names are correct and uniform.

> Name of the distribution jar

> In the other projects that are part of Common, such as loggin, lang, cli and collection,
the name of the distribution file, the binary one, has a sufix "-bin" but not in this project.
> I mean, these are the name of the other projects:
> commons-cli-1.2-bin.tar.gz
> commons-collections-3.2.1-bin.tar.gz
> commons-lang-2.5-bin.tar.gz
> commons-logging-1.1.1-bin.tar.gz
> as you can see, all of them have the sufix -bin after the version, and before the extension.
> However, for this project, the name is this
> commons-configuration-1.6.tar.gz
> I would like that this project hold the same structure.
> Thank you.
