As mentioned in LANG-398, perhaps both Brian Goetz and Tim Peierls could be contacted to donate
the code to this project?
And btw, the Avalon Framework uses marker interfaces to document thread safety.

This can be another alternative for those who do not like/wish to use Annotations.
