Subject [jira] Created: (JEXL-88) - name clash getMostSpecific() with Java 1.5.0
Date Thu, 20 Aug 2009 11:21:14 GMT - name clash getMostSpecific() with Java 1.5.0

                 Key: JEXL-88
             Project: Commons JEXL
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Sebb

I get the following error when trying to compile with Sun Java 1.5.0_20:

src\main\java\org\apache\commons\jexl\util\introspection\[199,26] name clash:
(java.util.List<java.lang.reflect.Constructor<?>>) and getMostSpecific(java.util.List<java.lang.reflect.Method>)
have the same erasure

src\main\java\org\apache\commons\jexl\util\introspection\[177,30] getMostSpecific(java
.util.List<java.lang.reflect.Method>) in org.apache.commons.jexl.util.introspection.MethodKey
cannot be applied to (java.util.List<java.lang.reflect.C

Compiles OK with Java 1.6.0_16 and Eclipse, but it ought to compile with Java 1.5.0 as well
