Subject [jira] Commented: (EL-2) [el] Properties with second letter upper case are not resolved
Date Thu, 15 May 2008 11:53:55 GMT

Michal Borowiecki commented on EL-2:
------------------------------------

The rule only defines what to do when extracting a property from Java code, not the other
way round.
So navid's idea doesn't counter the spec.

Whether it is actually worth doing is another matter ;)

Can anyone think of a situation where it might be harmful or introduce compatibility issues?

> Using JavaServer Faces (MyFaces implementation), it is not possible to access
> backing bean properties like "xTest".
> This bug seems to have been filed with MyFaces before (see MYFACES-31 )
> My application is generated by user input. I can't influence the naming of
> properties.
