Subject [jira] Commented: (IO-118) Change forceDelete API to return the boolean success
Date Tue, 19 Feb 2008 06:38:46 GMT

Henri Yandell commented on IO-118:
----------------------------------

It was to make it follow the lead of deleteQuietly and pass the return up.

I'd view a force delete as "rm -f", and that doesn't blow up if the file doesn't exist. Throwing
an exception is odd.

> Would be nice to return the boolean that the delete method returns in forceDelete.
