I can't replicate these failures.  Using the code and config now in
branches/DBCP_1_3_BRANCH, Ant 1.7.1, Ubuntu 9.10, the Blackdown, Sun
and Oracle JDKs mentioned above all succeed for me.  What OS and
version of Ant are you using?
