I'm building the package from the source tarball under Gentoo Linux x86-32
with following combinations and after settting the execution flag for the
test shell scripts (*1):

*1) I know that it is written in the FAQ and that the Maven archiver does
not keep the flag - even under Unix

Maven 2.2.1/Sun JDK 1.7.0.0_alpha69: fine
Maven 2.2.1/Sun JDK 1.6.0.16: fine
Maven 2.2.1/Sun JDK 1.5.0.20: fine
Maven 2.0.10/Sun JDK 1.4.2.19: fine
Ant 1.6.5/Sun JDK 1.3.1.20: fine
Maven 2.2.1/IcedTea6 1.4.1: fine
Maven 2.0.10/Blackdown JDK 1.4.2.03: fine
Maven 2.2.1/IBM JDK 1.6.0.5: fine
Ant 1.6.5(*2)/IBM JDK 1.5.0.10: fine
Ant 1.6.5(*2)/IBM JDK 1.4.2.13: fine
Maven 2.2.1/JRockit JDK 1.5.0.16: fine
Maven 2.0.10/JRockit JDK 1.4.2.14: fine

*2) Maven 2.x fails to run with IBM JDK 1.5 and 1.4.2

=========== %< =============
$ uname -r
2.6.30-gentoo-r5
=========== %< =============

You may update the test matrix :))

Overall: +1  Congratz!
