document how to use validator in a fail-safe way
------------------------------------------------

                 Key: VALIDATOR-227
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/VALIDATOR-227
             Project: Commons Validator
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Ralf Hauser

i.e. if a form being validated contains fields for which no rule is defined

a) fail the validation althogether by default
b) at least apply some generic string (length) validation

--> how would one configure this?

P.S.: We even built an ant task to extract all form- and business-object field names as per
http://mail-archive.objectweb.org/asm/2003-09/msg00030.html and http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=6152001
