Subject [jira] Commented: (FILEUPLOAD-121) org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileItem.write(java.io.File file) support for Windows env

Jochen Wiedmann commented on FILEUPLOAD-121:
--------------------------------------------

I have studied the code of DiskFileItem/DefaultFileItem in 1.2-SNAPSHOT and cannot find any
explicit use of the / or \ characters. The method getTempDir() is using new File(parent, filename),
as it should.

In other words, I have reason to believe that this bug report is invalid. Please provide more
data, in particular:

- Which version of commons-fileupload are you using?
- Which FileItemFactory are you using? A preconfigured or a custom?
- What is the absolute path of the file name you are actually seeing?

I intend to close this issue within some weeks without additional information.

> org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileItem.write(java.io.File file) method presumes that
the filepath is unix based and pre-fixes a '\' to the file name provided. This results in
a Invalid Path error on Windows environment.
