Whether one of the solutions in this enhancement request, or yours, Stephen, or
someone else's, make it into FileUpload, I wanted to consolidate the issues in
Bugzilla because fundamentally they address the same problem.

I have an implementation sitting onmy disk that almost made it into FileUpload
1.1. I changed my mind more or less at the last minute, partly because I wasn't
happy with the way the configuration worked, and partly because a 1.1 release
was long overdue. The plan is to incorporate a filter-based solution in
FileUpload 2.0.
