Thanks for doing this Jörg,

The funny messages are just where validator logs error conditions - so
tests for those conditions are causing the output.

I guess if they all behave the same for you (i.e. pass the tests?), I
need to wait for Phil and Oliver to verify if its sorted the issue
they experienced.
