Good point for the subsets. This is not an issue for the default implementation
of the subset method in AbstractConfiguration since it returns a wrapper around
the parent configuration and thus propagates the delimiter. The other
implementation in HierarchicalConfiguration will have to be modified though.

What do you mean by "inherited by compound lists" ? Does it imply re evaluating
the properties in order to turn the old lists into simple strings and split the
existing strings into lists ?
