After more thought and talking with someone at a recent Silicon Valley Web
Developer JUG meeting, I agree there is a need to make it much easier to
validate a single field, particularly with AJAX applications.  I recently added
the ability to validate a single field as naturally as you validate a form.  In
particular, you can construct a Validator via new Validator(resources, formName,
fieldName), then call validate() like usual.  Let me know if that would be more
what you are looking for.
