in following example:
<configuration>
  <test1>
    <test>
       <param>value1</param>
    </test>
    <test>
       <param>value2</param>
    </test>
  </test1>
</configuration>

doing subset like this:

Configuration subcfg = xmlCfg.subset("test1(1)");
ConfigurationUtils.dump(subcfg,System.err);

should output:

test.param=value2

but output:

test.param=null
