Gary,

I suspect building against 1.4.2 and running against 1.2.2 will not work due 
to changes in the Java API. The RC binary distribution is in fact build with 
1.2.2, so it may be sufficient just to run the downloaded RC6 against your 
1.2.2 without building from scratch.
