I don't get how anyone could nail gun themselves and not know it= for six days. Was his mouth open when the nail backfired or what? Tha= t's just plain weird.

Also what's up with him not having med= ical insurance? I've had friends who have worked in construction and th= ey got paid a lot of money per hour.

Considering that the n= ail actually went into his brain, he is so lucky he didn't have bigger problems.

Funny, I was just talking

Funny, I was just talking about this yester= day with Will Pate of GoodBasic -- he's trying to get together educat= ors to look at Drupal as an alternative to current online learning systems.=

We had briefly talked through the creation of a "quizzes" module. The survey module is OK for short surveys, but it'= s meant for anonymous use and has some other shortcomings, and really the n= eeds of quizzes is different enough to warrant a separate module. But, the = forms module could likely be re-used as a sup= porting module.

An additional permission would be "quiz marker" (imagine the TA of a pro= fessor marking). We had imagined that along with the quiz itself, the "answ= er template" would be created. There would be some questions (e.g. multiple= choice) that would have just one answer and could be marked automatically,= but text-answer questions would have, on the answer side, a "model" answer= as well as a list of points to guide the quiz marker. Scores could be ente= red, as well as comments on rightness/wrongness.

The quiz taker could view their own results. The answer template could b= e made public after the fact.

For a set of quizzes, stats/reports could be generated on marking/grades= . Export to Excel, SPSS.

Some of your thoughts seem to be around an almost "question bank" type s= ystem. In which case, you would actually have a "quiz" node, as well as "qu= estion" nodes. Again, see survey/forms for similar interaction, except that= "questions" would exist on their own.

Like the profile module (or book pages?), you might want to have labelle= d quiz sections.

OK, that's all I can remember for now. Will will chime in, and perhaps p= oint some other education types here.
