Are you sure if pathnames separated by spaces are given then it fails to get 
the directory and file listing.
For example:
/ftp/ftp crawler/abc.txt is the file in the ftpserver.

when you give FTPFile[] files=ftp.listFiles("/ftp/ftp crawler/");

only /ftp/ftp is recognised it fails to recognise afer the space.

If this has been rectified then please specify where.
