By default, Betwixt assumes that collectives should be wrapped in a containing element. For
example,

<persons>
   <persons>...</person>
</persons>

So, you need to configure Betwixt so that this behaviour is switched off with something like:

beanReader.getXMLIntrospector().getConfiguration().setWrapCollectionsInElement(false);

There is something about this in http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/betwixt/guide/binding.html
but 
it's a little thin. A documentation patch would be gratefully received or add a FAQ to the
wiki.


BTW a good tip when you're having trouble with a reading configuration is to write out what
you expect 
and see what the differences are.
