Ok, I've got Oleg's patch [1] applied locally (thanks!) but I'd like to know
before I commit code and close this ticket if there is an extra API we need in
the class or not. Oleg's comment "2004-09-10 15:44" states: 

"Feel free to provide your own convenience method on top of byte[] to byte[]
version of the decode method."

If one of you has there brain cache fresh enough on this one, fire away please.
