Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: JELLY-145
    Summary: jelly -version should answer
       Type: Improvement

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Critical

    Project: jelly
 Components:
             core / taglib.core
   Versions:
             1.0-beta-4

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Paul Libbrecht

    Created: Mon, 13 Sep 2004 12:17 AM
    Updated: Mon, 13 Sep 2004 12:17 AM

Description:
Currently "jelly -version" responds an exception whereas every normal software would like
to have a current version given.
This could be assorted to the version of each taglib (e.g. jelly --tagLibVersion=swing).
My best wish would be to output this automagically out of the project.xml... I am pretty sure
maven users have requested, made, or even standardized this already...

thanks

paul
