Ah....

I found the relevant piece of code in BeanUtils - see what you mean about 
catching NoSuchMethodException and throwing InvocationTargetException.  I 
would say that since BeanUtils delegates to PropertyUtils for some of it's 
functionality, it doesn't make sense to try and determine whether BeanUtils is 
doing the right thing until we make sure that PropertyUtils is doing so.  

On the other hand, it does seem sort of strange to be doing this - I would say 
that the reasons for propagating any exception out of 
PropertyUtils.copyProperties() should apply to BeanUtils.copyProperty() as 
well.  To wrap some inside others seems illogical because it's inconsistent, 
though logical if the goal is to reduce the number of exceptions :) which need 
to be handled.
