i think i agree about some of the problems with the exception handling logic
(but i'm not too sure that there are any good ways to solve them). 

from what i can see, the real issue is that copyProperty (and so copyProperties)
catches NoSuchMethodException's and rethrows InvocationTargetException's. this
seems wrong to me. from my reading of the method contract, i'd suggest that
really NoSuchMethodException's should be ignored. IllegalAccessException's
should also probably be marked as never now being thrown. 

BTW it's a real PITA that you've copyrighted the test case you attached. this
means that i've got to go to the trouble of writing my own sufficiently
different one if i want to see your point. if the issue is hard to replicate
then it may be hard to create a separate test case that is adequate.
