Since the AbandonedObjectPool does not override the GenericObjectPool close() method, the GenericObjectPool's close() method is called when the BasicDataSource is closed. The GenericObjectPool close() only closes the connections idle in the pool. What about the connections which are currently in use and maintained by the AbandonedObjectPool? They never get closed. Ideally, the AbandonedObjectPool should have a close() method which closes the "abandoned connections" and then calls its super.close(). It would be great if this could be supported in a future release... - Cheryl -----Original Message----- From: David Graham [mailto:dgraham1980@hotmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, April 09, 2003 1:17 PM To: commons-dev@jakarta.apache.org Subject: RE: [DBCP] Abandoned connections not being returned to pool upon clos ing BasicDataSource.close uses GenericObjectPool.close to release the connections.
