Agreed, this is the general licence for Jade and thus unacceptable. However,
the particular class in question is marked on the website and javadoc as
'public domain', which I thought was OK to do what the hell you like with.

If the community wanted to "absorb" any pieces of code directly from JADE
we'd have to distribute it under LGPL which has restrictions incompatible
with the Apache License.  Wiki isn't necessarily official content, but there
is a page about this issue here:
