Sounds good to me, Daniel.  If the 1.0 release is going to happen soon,
I'm not even sure there's a point to putting this into the proposal

I haven't taken the time to look at everything in detail, but on the
surface it sounds like a good approach.  Let's get to this promotion and
1.0 release business resolved, get you voted in as a committer, and then
start trying this out.
