Subject [HEADS UP] ASF Reorganization
Date Thu, 17 Oct 2002 20:35:52 GMT
Hello all,

Just an FYI to let everyone here know that a very important discussion
has started on the topic of reorganizing the Apache Software Foundation.

To get a feel for what is going on, subscribe to reorg@apache.org with
an email to reorg-subscribe@apache.org.

The types of things being discussed include categorization of projects
to the public, infrastructure, and there is even a proposal to make
every project a top level project (ie tomcat would become
tomcat.apache.org, turbine, avalon, etc.)

Where does that leave commons? I suggest that every committer here in
the commons subscribe and voice their opinion.

Thanks,
Scott Sanders
