Not a particularly good one.  It would be useful to know the actual class
required for when pluggable authentication modules come in, but there isn't
much chance of being able to provide the required information if you didn't
specifically add support for it anyway (ie: just knowing the class required
isn't enough, you also need to know the required parameters for it's
constructor etc).  With that in mind, it probably would be best just to
return the name of the authentication type being used.
