Changing MethodUtils in the manner you suggest would cause many backwards
incompatibilities, because it would cause the wrong declaring class to be
identified in some cases.

As a workaround, you should make your B class implement a public interface that
defines the getHello() method -- then the property will be accessible via
introspection.
