Subject [httpclient] Request for help in finishing up the logging feature
Date Tue, 30 Jul 2002 14:05:20 GMT

Many changes have been made to HttpClient logging lately. Could somone
volunteer to finalize this task? Many of the changes have been made without
a lot of comments from the httpclient development community, and it needs a
serious third look.

(On a side note it really looks like we are talking about a Aspect
"crosscutting conern" here, but don't think that this is the time to make
THAT move ;-)

One thing that bothers me in particular is that when we run the test-nohost
suite, the cookie code writes out WAY more messages than any other
component. I do expect the tests to log out many messages (as many error
condtions are exercised) but the choice of which log level to use for
particluar messages is not consistant.

If someone in HttpClient could accept this request, that would be fantastic.
Please just assign the bug to yourself and keep the dialog open :-)
