How do I turn off the logging function??

Summary: How do I turn off the logging function??
           Product: Commons
           Version: Nightly Builds
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: HttpClient
        AssignedTo: commons-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: chienchi@deepspot.com

When the HttpClient try to fetch a page from WWW, I see many messages
thrown to the DOS console window.
Since our software which employing Http-Client needs to be run 24 hours
a day and 7 days a week, I wish to turn off the logging function to avoid
executing many "System.out.println()". Thus the performance will be better.
I've read the API documentation and can not find any method to do this.
If the Http-Client software doesn't support this method currently, I wish it
to be added.

thank you very much
