Subject RE: [httpclient] 2.0 release plan - Submit Tasks to Bugzilla

If plugin authentication modules were used then using native code wouldn't
be so bad in an optional plugin - however if someone felt really ambitious
an all-java solution would be nice too.

On the plugin note - it would be nice to be able to take the absolute bare
bones http client with a minimum jar size and then just add the plugins that
are required to it - ie: make as much as possible a plugin option.
Generally httpclient is pretty small anyway but since it is used by other
projects which add on top of it any file size saving is a real boon.

Supporting NTLM will need some native code, do we want to do that?
