I believe the main two advantages are the support for cookie and timeout.
That's the main reason for me to use it anyway.

Subject: HTTP Clients Vs URL class

Would someone please explain to me what are the advantages of using HTTP
Clients over the URL class in JDK 1.4?

One think I know is HTTP Clients supports Cookie. What are other advantages?

Thanks.
Sam
