+ <section name="FAQ - General">
+
+ <p>General questions.
+ </p>
+
+ <strong>Question 1: What is SCXML?</strong>
+ <p>
+ State Chart XML (SCXML) is a general-purpose event-based state
+ machine language that can be used in many ways. It is currently
+ a W3C Working Draft, available
+ <a href="http://www.w3.org/TR/scxml/">here</a>.
+ </p>
+
+ <strong>Question 2: What is Visual SCXML?</strong>
+ <p>
+ Visual is an Eclipse GMF based SCXML document Visual editor, it can be used to
+ create and edit SCXML document, we can use it easily to create huge and complex state
+ chart document.
+ </p>
+
+
+ <strong>Question 3: We can only use Visual SCXML in Eclipse environment?</strong>
+ <p>
+ Yes, it is a GMF based Eclipse plug-in, so we can only use it in Eclipse environment.
In fact, we should get the
+ proper Eclipse version and GMF relative plug-in, we can find version in <a href="guide/run-source-code.html">here</a>.
+ </p>
+
+ <strong>Question 4: As we know, State Chart XML (SCXML) is currently a W3C Working
Draft, so it may change in the coming days, how do Visual SCXML handler this situation?</strong>
+ <p>
+ Yeah, this is a problem. Now Visual SCXML is developed under SCXML W3C Working Draft 13
May 2010, it has the same data model as this specification, if W3C improve
+ SCXML's recommendation specification, Visual SCXML will change data model together with
it.
+ </p>

+ <section name="FAQ - Build Visual SCXML by myself">
+
+ <p>There are some questions about how to build Visual SCXML by source code.
+ </p>
+
+ <strong>Question 1: If i want to build Visual SCXML by myself or i want to change
it to my special situation, what background knowledge should i get?</strong>
+ <p> Visual SCXML is an <a href="http://www.eclipse.org">Eclipse</a>
plug-in project built on <a href="http://www.eclipse.org/GMF">GMF</a> technology,
+ so if you want to improve its source code or something, you should know GMF first, in
fact, EMF and GEF is also necessary.
+ </p>
+
+ <strong>Question 2: How can i get Visual SCXML's data model?</strong>
+ <p> You can get Visual SCXML's source code for its source repository <a href="source-repository.html">here</a>,including
its EMF data model, it is in project "org.apache.commons.scxml.modeling".
+ </p>
