You can do something like this:

* definition

<fd:multivaluefield id="myField">
	<fd:datatype base="string"/>
	<fd:selection-list src="cocoon:/my-selection-list" cache="true"/>
</fd:multivaluefield>

* template

<ft:widget id="myField"><fi:styling list-type="checkbox"/></ft:widget>

* binding

<fb:value id="myField" path="myField"/>

* object

private String[] myField;

Set values in myField array and they will be automatically selected
on the screen.
