Subject How to get rid of log4j debug mode

My logs quickly grow to hunderds of megabytes because of all these mostly
useless debug lines. I just want it to report error messages, and perhaps
info messages. The problem is that the log4j config file is located in the
target... what the quickest way to turn off debug mode and/or tweak the
log4j config file?
