Joerg, I appreciate your suggestion. I've never tried to contribute
to the official documentation effort, but I realize that's the only way
we can all make it better. 

Efforts to publish private tutorials rapidly go out of date and eventually
become an actual hinderance to others. I wrote a tutorial on using
Cocoon 2.1.x a few years ago, "Server-side XML without Tears"
and now I feel I should take it down: I don't have time to keep it
up to date.The irony is that I wrote it because I was mad and frustrated
by the contradictory and inaccuate information I found on other people's
private tutorial sites!  Now I realize they were doing exactly what I
was doing. And all that effort is essential lost.

The big advantage of contributing to the official docs is that others 
(even the Cocoon Gods) will help keep the work current. It grows
in value rather than deteriorating.
