That's 'cause that's what you literally wrote :-). Xpath string syntax=20=

doesn't comprise variably "interpolation" like that.  What you want=20
would be this:

<xsl:copy-of select=3D"document(concat ('cocoon://path/proc.xsp/?var=3D',=20=

$var, '/*')" />
