Subject extracting a value from a xscript variable
Date Fri, 17 Jun 2005 14:35:45 GMT
Hi all

I've manage to use xscript to read a document from an external source and
transform it to extract a specific tag (in xsp)

so <xsp:expr><xscript:get name="out"/></xsp:expr>
returns

<myTag>blah</myTag>

So far so good... now how do I get the value (blah) into a java string ??

I tried

String myString = <xsp:expr><xscript:get name="out"/></xsp:expr>;
and
String myString = <xscript:get name="out"/>;

which does not work... and furthermore, even at this point, I'd have to get
rid of the enclosing tags.

any idea ?.. it's probably obvious, but I could not find anything on the web
or in the mail archives.

thanks...
