I can't see any select attribute in the doc neither in the samples. Are
you sure there is an select attribute to cinclude:include element?

Hmmmm. Does a simple pipeline works:

<map:match pattern="machin.xml">
<map:generate type="html"
           src="http://www.digilife.be/quickreferences/quickrefs.htm"/>
<map:serialize type="xml"/>
</map:match>

??
