Hi,
manages to find a solution guys. The solution is as follows:

			    orderitems = neworder.getOrderItems().iterator();
				while (orderitems.hasNext()) {
					orderitem = orderitems.next();
					if (orderitem.getStockID() == stock_code){
						duplication = true;
					}
				}
