Subject RE: NotSerializableException - cocoon 2.1.6 on tomcat 5.5.4
Date Sun, 05 Dec 2004 04:02:58 GMT
Hi Dani !

I have the same issue on both cocoon 2.1.5 and 2.1.6. Someone else has earlier suggested
adding the following declaration to your web application context entry in the Tomcat server.xml

<Manager className="org.apache.catalina.session.StandardManager" pathname=""/>

I haven't tried this yet myself but it's worth a shot.

Cheers
Adam

Subject: NotSerializableException - cocoon 2.1.6 on tomcat 5.5.4

hello together!

I deployed Cocoon 2.1.6 on Tomcat 5.5.4 -> no own portlets

Now I get the following error-message when stopping
tomcat:

Cannot serialize session attribute org.apache.cocoon.webapps.authentication.components.DefaultAuthenticationManager/UserStatus
for session 86A414B42177DFAA63BD8FC1A0F68D5F
java.io.NotSerializableException: org.apache.cocoon.components.CocoonComponentManager...

somebody already had this problem http://archives.real-time.com/pipermail/cocoon-users/2004-June/052139.html
and solved it by using a newer tomcat-version.

I`m already using the newest one.. :(

Any suggestions? Help is very appreciated!!

Yours
dani
