I too had some problem with encoding formparameters

i used the
    <xsp:include>java.net.URLEncoder</xsp:include>

        public String getRequestElementEncodedValue() throws Exception {

            return
                this.field.hasValue()
                ? "&" + this.parametername + "=" +
URLEncoder.encode(this.field.getValue(), "UTF-8")
                : "";
        }

See if it works for you !!

Subject: Request decoding problem

Hi,
We are having trouble with request parameters that have special characters
(scandinavian letters) not decoding correctly. These parameters are passed
from a form in the request to be displayed on another form, but they are not
decoded properly from the uri (for example the letter ä becomes ä) in the
result xml. We are using ISO-8859-1 encoding. By what I've gathered from
previous mails in the archive, this seems to be the default encoding used,
so should it work without making any alterations to any cocoon configuration
files? Could there be a problem with the parser? We are running Cocoon 2.1.5
on Tomcat 4.1.24.

All help would be much appreciated!

-Jyri
