this is definitly no Cocoon question, it is an XSL (beginner) question.

XSL is no procedural language, hence the concept of variables is 
completely different there. please read one of the basic XSL tutorials 
or buy an adequate book.

it is possible to "simulate" a loop like this, but not with for-each, 
but with recursion.

the basic idea is:


loop (0)

loop (param x)
  y=x+10
  if y<100
     loop (y)
