No, I don't think that's right. But I guess it depends what you mean specifically by "recursive"
transformation.

It's easy to create a pipeline that calls itself recursively: use an include transformer (e.g.
CInclude or XInclude) to call a Cocoon pipeline using the "cocoon:" protocol.
