A piece of code

         <jpath:for-each select="tst/v[position() &gt; 3]">
             <p> <jpath:value-of select="position()" /><jpath:value-of 
select="." /> </p>
         </jpath:for-each>

tst/v[position() &gt; 3] works properly

but

<jpath:value-of select="position()" /> is always 0. Why?
